The Roots ‘n’ Roll  studio is based around the Akai DPS 16 hard disk recorder.  Other gear includes a TL Audio 5051 valve channel strip; Rode NT2, Neumann, Shure SM58 and Midnight Blues microphones. Lexicon MPX100 reverb, Alesis and RNC compressors, and Aphex exciters. This is all routed and managed through a Mackie 1402 mixer and patchbay, and monitored through Genelec 1029A monitors.

For mixing I go direct to the PC hard drive through Wavelab IV through the DPS digital outs and into the soundcard digital ins. I can alternatively route through the mixer and rack if needed.
